Our Warranty
Every Captainsbamboo lamp is shaped over hand-tied bamboo ribs, wrapped in mulberry washi paper, and inspected before it leaves our workshop. We stand behind the way it is made.
What we cover — 12 months from delivery
- The bamboo frame and hand-tied ribs, under normal indoor use.
- Wiring, socket and switch defects.
- Any manufacturing fault in the shade structure.
What is not covered
- Natural variation in washi paper. Colour, fibre pattern and translucency differ from shade to shade — that is the material, not a fault.
- Damage from outdoor exposure, moisture, or bulbs above the recommended wattage.
- The natural softening and patina the paper develops over time.
- Damage caused by modification or improper assembly.
How to make a claim
Take a photo of the issue, email hello@captainsbamboo.com with your order number, and we will arrange a replacement part, a replacement shade, or a replacement lamp. Claims are answered within 2 business days.
This warranty sits alongside our 30-Day Zen Guarantee and does not affect your statutory rights.
